Israel’s contemporary dance company makes its Houston debut with Artistic Director and renowned choreographer Ohad Naharin’s Deca Dance, a reconstruction of existing works exposing the most provocative, bombastic elements from his repertory. From aggression and fierce lust for life to capricious dream worlds, Deca Dance reflects Naharin’s vision of the Company as a meeting place for artists of all disciplines. The performance includes unforgettable images performed by extraordinary dancers and stunning movements set to thrilling soundtracks, embracing everything from classical music to rock. Since its founding in 1964 by Martha Graham and Baroness Batsheva De Rothschild, Batsheva has become one of the most influential cultural role models in Israel.
