The Gershwins’ An American in Pariswill feature the music of the greatest American song-writing team, George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin.  This new production presents an all-new book created by author of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Crazy For You, Ken Ludwig. Crazy For You featured songs by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin – including well-known standards re-imagined for a new plot, and rediscovered gems from the Gershwins’ songbook.  Similarly,The Gershwins’ An American in Paris will feature some of the best-loved songs ever written by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin including: "’S Wonderful," "They All Laughed," and "Stairway to Paradise " woven into an all-new story. This wild and hilarious new musical comedy takes us on a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the legendary movie-musical. It tells the story of Michel Gerard, the greatest music hall singer in Paris.  When Michel fails to turn up at the studio for the filming of a new musical, Studio Head LB sends his practical no-nonsense secretary, Rebecca Klemm, to find the missing star – and when the legendary Parisian crosses swords with the indomitable American, nothing short of fireworks ensue.
