713Walks: Houston Theater District

Movement • Art • Nature • Culture • Community

Led by Laura Conley and Urban Paths, the 713Walks explore the vibrant heart of Houston’s performing arts scene with a 3-mile walking experience through the iconic Houston Theater District. Artists from the District’s resident arts organizations perform on each walk. These journey celebrate the rich culture, stunning architecture, and dynamic energy that make this district a cornerstone of Houston’s artistic identity.

Stroll past world-renowned venues like the Alley Theatre, the Hobby Center, Jones Hall, and Wortham Theater Center, while uncovering hidden art installations and learning about the district’s history and impact on the city’s cultural landscape. Along the way, discover local businesses that contribute to the neighborhood’s unique character.

Each walk is designed to connect participants with the community and inspire a deeper appreciation for Houston’s cultural treasures. Last year, over 100 participants joined us on each walk, experiencing the city in a whole new way.

Join us in Houston Theater District and keep taking the next step with Urban Paths.

The experience includes:

  • A performance from a local artist or musician.

  • Water for all participants in a reusable aluminum bottle.

  • A Spanish language interpreter.

  • Refreshments from a local cafe/coffee shop.

  • The profound health benefits of a 3-mile walk exploring beauty and connecting with others!
